  • Originally established in August 2006 as Southern Villages Network Incorporated, Coastal Villages Community Buses Inc. was created to provide affordable and accessible transport options for our growing community. With the purchase of two buses, the vision was simple — reduce social isolation and help local residents stay connected. The buses were initially housed at Pearcedale Primary School before moving in June 2007 to their permanent home at the Blind Bight Community Centre, where they remain today. For almost two decades, this valuable volunteer-run service has supported residents of the Coastal Villages and surrounding areas by providing low-cost transport for sporting events, social outings, family trips, shopping excursions, club activities and much more. Our service enables community members to participate, connect and thrive. We are proudly self-sufficient, supported by community bookings and grants from Bendigo Bank and the City of Casey. Our vehicles are regularly maintained and updated to ensure safety and reliability, and we are fully registered with Bus Safety Victoria and Transport Victoria, meeting all regulatory requirements. With strong ongoing community support, Coastal Villages Community Buses Inc. continues to play an important role in keeping our community connected.
